June and July work - solidifying!

Hello!

Yes, "solidifying" has been the theme over the last few weeks. Finishing off the demo became priority for some time, and there were many things I had left on the back burner, to be decided upon when the demo was done. Well, now was that time...

I had to figure out the actual design of the 'Devotion' system, which tracks Jacob's musings about what he finds (courtesy of the player choices) and updates what dialogue options the player has access to as the game progresses (and will tie into the endings too).

I had to remind myself about the progression through the rest of the game - i.e. what the player has to find, what is optional, where they are, and how to find them. There was quite a bit I had forgotten about, but I think I'm back to where I was before - I know what I have to make.

Also, I had only actually written the game up to the 5th scene (of 7) so I've been cracking on with the script for the final levels.

And, of course, there's the nuts and bolts of just "making stuff"! So I've been hard at work crafting the next two levels (see screenshot below for a little blockout preview of one of them - not a spoilery one ;) ) and getting those functional with the player character.

So, yes, busy few weeks with small bits of progress all over the place, but starting to get back into the dev flow again!

Tony.
